“I had been a regular gym-goer for many years and although I was in pretty good shape, around the end of 2009, found that I had reached a plateau and wasn’t seeing any improvement. I had got stuck in a rut, doing the same workouts week in, week out, spending hours doing cardio in the hope it would burn off the fat that I was so desperate to get rid of, but to no avail!

In January 2010 I decided that I needed to make some changes, particularly since I had my wedding in May to get in shape for. I had a chat to Ramsay and we went through my objectives in detail, then he came up with a diet and training plan which he assured me would get me in great shape for the all important dress!

We began the training around mid-January and I really looked forward to the weekly sessions. Training with Ramsay has been great, never the same workout twice, he keeps it varied and challenging but we also have a laugh along the way!After just a few weeks I felt that my level of fitness was improving and my clothes were feeling looser. I was delighted at the 8-week stage to find that I had lost 6 inches, reduced my bodyfat by 4% and gained 4 lbs of lean muscle! The results were clearly visible and people began complimenting me on my new shape. I still had another 8 weeks until my wedding and Ramsay helped me to really fine tune things to get me into the best shape I’ve ever been in.After 16 weeks I had lost 9 lbs, 10 inches and my bodyfat was down to 20%. Best of all, I was brimming with self-confidence, had more energy than ever and when my wedding day arrived in May, could not have been happier about how I looked in my dress!

Want to fit into your dream dress and feel comfortable and confident?

Do you want to be the centre of attention and have all eyes on you?

We offer a 4 week or 8 week package that will help you lose that excess fat and get you in shape for your big day.
Assessments will be taken at the start of the program and will be monitored throughout the time period that you are with me. This will help you to track your progress and can help me to see what aspects of your training need to be changed/kept and encouraged.
The importance of taking measurements for this program, is that we have to ensure that you are losing the measurements on areas such as your waist and arms, which are key for a wedding dress fitting. Whilst the number on the scale is important, the loss of inches on the tape measure will deliver those desired results and will help you into that dream dress of yours.

The sessions will be varied and will focus on all aspects needed for a successful weight loss plan.
Firstly, we will incorporate cardiovascular exercises, such as rowing, into the sessions as these will burn those extra calories needed to lose weight.
During the sessions, we will also incorporate resistance training that utilises exercises such as squats, lunges etc. All of the correct techniques will be taught for these exercises during the class and you will be able to go at your own pace a the start.
The aim for the resistance training is to build muscle, which will help you to shed those excess pounds quicker.
Did you know that 1lb of muscle burns 30-50 calories per day, while 1lb of fat only burns about 9 calories per day? Therefore, the more muscle that your body contains the more calories you burn each day.
However, there is no need to worry about putting on extra ‘bulk’ through this resistance training. This program of resistance training is just to supplement the cardiovascular exercises to help you lose weight and, just as importantly, keep it off.

As well as the training involved, you will also be provided with a strict nutritional and conditioning plan. This plan will break down exactly what your body will need during this training period and will ensure that you get the best results possible from your training.

One to One Sessions - Small Group TrainingRead More +

Do you want the help and guidance of a personal trainer but at a fraction of the price?

Do you know a few friends that could cover the cost of a PT session with you?

The group sessions are designed for 3-5 people to take part in a 6o minute session with one of our personal trainers. The sessions will incorporate all aspects of a 1 to 1 PT session but will come at a fraction of the price as it is split 3-5 ways.
This type of training is ideal for anybody who is looking for that extra push and motivation to achieve their goals. It also means that you can feel comfortable and not under too much pressure as you will be training with at least 2 other friends and will not be the sole focus of attention for the PT.
Training with friends is a great way to lose weight as not only do you feel more comfortable, you also have each other to help push you to go that extra mile. Whether that is getting an extra rep or 2 out, or even having someone help you find the motivation needed to go to the gym, it can only be a positive training with friends.
Also, a little bit of friendly competition is always a good, fun and effective way to lose those extra pounds.

The sessions will be tailored and suited for yourself and the group. If it is weight loss that is the goal for the group, then a program will be developed that will suit all of your needs and will help you to achieve the weight loss.

Other aspects of training such as sports training, resistance training and muscle building training can also be focused on during these sessions. It is entirely up to the group.

One on one personal training sessions consist of yourself training with one of our personal trainers located at the studio.

If you are interested in one to one sessions, we will first arrange a free consultation where we will have a chat about your current diet, exercise levels and stress levels etc. We will also use this time to chat about your aims and goals fitness wise and we will then set out how we feel that we can help you to achieve them.
If you are happy to sign up after this, we will then arrange a time and date for you to come in for your first PT session.
For your first session, we will start with a health assessment and a basic fitness test so that we have a starting point of where you are fitness wise currently. This starting point will allow us to monitor your progress and will help us to identify any strengths and weaknesses in your training. You will also be given your nutrition guidelines and a meal diary to start you on the path of having a balanced and healthy diet.
The sessions will then be suited and tailored around your needs and will focus on exercises that will help you to achieve your aims and goals. For example, if weight loss is your goal, greater focus will be aimed at cardiovascular exercises and circuit training which will elevate the heart rate and encourage the process of burning fat.

The eight week military preparation program is designed and tailored specifically for those who are looking to enter into military service in the future.
We all know how physically demanding it is just to get past the initial fitness test for the military, let alone the basic training that you will be take part in if you are accepted into the military.
The program is designed so that you and your body are physically, and mentally, ready for the challenges that you will face.The sessions will include all aspects of military training from long distance runs to gruelling circuit training that will push your body to its physical limits. We feel that the closer the training and its intensity levels are to the real thing, the more prepared you will be for the real test.

The sessions will not be easy, but neither will the real tests. I has been proven with past clients that training with us before taking the fitness tests, greatly increases your chances of passing and taking that first step towards your desired career.
